It was too easy and the gold making was not the fun part.. leveling the toons was... It was work and at the same time I managed a half mil on my main server and quit at the AH game... it was getting monotonous and tiring... this was a fun project for about a week, then just another part time job... and no lesson for it to teach me... it was just doing the same things over...
ADDONS... get em, love em, use em, learn em, update em, READ about others using them.. thats all you need to know... well and start slow.. and work into markets with variable costs.. Pets are easy, but low margins. They are easy because they have a FIXED cost, crafting things does not...

Posting Schedule... sorta
It is my intention to post updates 3 times a week on the blog. Mon, Wed, Fri... Since I rarely surf or post over the weekends, and Tues/Thurs are raid nights.
Still, schedule has been busy and I have not even logged the toons for this server in a week. I expect I will be able to make time and get a post tonight or yet this week.

It's comming
I have been keeping notes to update the blog. I was trying to really nail down just how long it will take me roughly with one toon and 2 professions to manage the 15 or so items I have been selling.
So to that end I have been keeping notes. ON PAPER... and taking some screenshots to show better how I am doing things.
Other commitments, with work-work, house-work, yard-work and raiding... I fell off for a couple days.
I have plans to continue and am comming back with more and will continue post on the progress as I continue this project.
I am considering changing over to TSM with this project. That will be a big process, but it will give me a chance to play with TSM and get feedback.
Should get more out this weekend... Not normal for me to even consider plans to post over the weekend, but in this case I do plan to

Day 6 and 7

Its Sunday and the last entry was Fri. I continued playing Ctlaltdeltwo to level 15 Fri and ran another round of cancel/posting. I was able to get ghost wolf, now I just need to level on up to 21 I think to talent it into an instant cast. (Side note: Previous shamman was a caster, this one is enhancement. Terrible to play till you get a pair of weapons and get past level 10 or a bit higher. Then, being a melee shaman was fun.
Day 5 cont:
So leveling the Ctlaltdeltwo, the Shaman, I found the flight past INSIDE The Exodar... HRMMmm.. and it conects to the first quest hub after the lvl 1-5 area... and I ran that toon all the way into town... Not because I need the ore, or because I need the gold from selling it, more out of habbit, I saw some copper while leveling and went to mine it, and found I was unable to, I had no mining pick. Its funny when you are equiping a grey quality weapon as an UG... Its sorta fun to do it all over again the "hard" way (no herilooms)
I hoped toons to mail some bags over and did a cancel/post, craft/post, jumped back, trained enchanting, purchased copper rods to sell, and sent various mats I had collected. I always buy out the chant mats at the vendor when I am there unless I already have pile... can be good small income.
That was the rest of Fri evening...
Day 6:
Sat was mainly Yard work, help the neighbors, and get a sunburn... Only logged briefly to collect 122 Gold, cancel/post, train LW, Craft/post and set up ZA for expanding markets as my crafting window has more to sell now. Leather scraps > light lether, Tin Ore, prospecting, Daily cooking and fishing quests... and off to my main account for a brief time..
EVERYTHING I am selling is for profits... I am only posting 2 at a time of each item. Though some are likely to start getting posted at 3, since they seem to be selling out daily. Look for the post in the near future for some screenshots and deeper explanations of how I am crafting and posting manually.

Why I expect things are selling... As for the LW and JC items... every thing that is selling has either stamina or primary stats (str, int, agi) or both. They are great gear for the entry to BGs and dungeons, and I am the only one selling it or frequently undercutting the few others in the market.
Things are NOT selling I expect for one of these reasons. MY threshold is too high, the stats have spirit, or the market is at present flooded with someone who recently crafted 5-10 or more and unloaded them into the AH at or below cost, and below my threshold. I am only trying to sell for PROFIT, and if the profit is not measured at 1 gold or more per sale, I am not terribly interested, its just not worth my time to craft and sell it for such little returns...
Day 7
More fun, More gold in the mail. More cancel/post and craft/post. It takes a little more time running around Darnassus, and not having HUGE bags, but that will come in time. I also am having to visit the trainers as I continue to level the professions. Its not much but it is time running around and adds up for now.
But a routine begins to set in... Now a run around darnassus to look for limited supply stuff. :-)
HMMM.. there is a shield at one merchant... Ringed Buckler, it's white quality, but level 14... and COULD later sell with an enchant on it to the almost level 15 wanna be tanks... :-) note to self...
Gonna try try selling vanishing powder.. I considered picking up the vendor profession bags, and decided against it, even without looking at this servers markets, I suspect its a camped market...
What I got out of that was 3 limited supply enchanting formulas, 2 greenies and an idea for later...also trained up JC and LW and stocked up on thread for LW and got an LW quest for another pattern.. :-)... but overall, likely not going to be worth the time to make a habit of running around Darn for limited supply items. Not by my assesment anyway... :-)
New paterns in LW and JC after training, time to craft, set up ZA and start a market trial... :-)

Today was about 30 minutes on Ctlaltdel, and almost none on Cltaltdeltwo other than a brief login, return mail of pets...
The amount of time daily is dwindling.. Oportunity cost invested is starting to pay off.
Login -> colect 62 gold from auctions using postal, collect failed auctions too -> Cancel post auctions -> Mouse over the "mail storage" (pets atm) and see if I have 2 each listed, grab and post... Scamper off and complete the daily fishing quest and the daily cooking. More cocoa beans to sell.. though they do not seem to be selling atm. While getting my lure for the fishing quest, I did see a +5 fishing pole, WOOT, should be an easy flip for a couple gold.
-> Moving on to more business. Scan the AH, and review inventory of each item I can craft, and craft a min qty to post, put in the ZA groups for auto cancel posting. 3 x 6 slot bags and 1 x 8 slot bag, just not cutting it... next investment 4 x 16 slot bags, netherweave... still have about 15 gold, some mats in the bags and mail, get a couple more for a round of crafting. Again, to do this, and decide what to craft I am opening the AH window with Auctionator, and the crafting window for JC in this case. Shift click the finished item in the crafting window to check prices on the item in the AH, shift click the mats in the interface to search/buy mats.
Open LW crafting window now too. I can still get points on scraps to leather and it looks profitable today-> buy out all the cheap scraps-GO to mailbox, pull out and equip new bags, the Openall with postal. Craft all the scraps to leather, for posting later, grab a few bars mailed over from ctlaltdeltwo (remember, I changed the setting in postal to not open mail from other toons, only the AH items, sales, expired auctions, canceled auctions and purchased items.) Take a guess, and JC craft 2-3 each of what I have mats for. Set them up in ZA. LW hit 40 and making light leather is gray now... JC leveled up to 90, time to hit up the trainers..
Things well set, about 30 minutes in game, a final cancel post.. and log... I can not list some of the items I would since I can not even cover the AH deposit fees ATM...
Update: as I wrote this, I remembered I forgot to manually list some auctions, namely the leather, and a water walking pot for the daily fishing... so, I logged to post them, and that actually when I ran out of money to post more. However, a quick peak at the auctions, and some delicate copper wire sold so I already have about 10 gold comming in and will log later to post the rest of it.

- Level Ctlaltdel to level 16 so I can train travel form... currently I have instant cast Kitty form for 30% run speed, but travel form will be 40%... I want it. He will continue to level by doing the daily quests, but no immediate future plans to rush him to level 20. 20 because at that point I will be able to train professions to 225, currently limmited to 150.
- Level Ctlaltdeltwo to level 15... Ghost wolf 40% movement increase... I will appreciate that running him around The Exodar
- roll and level a worgen, a dwarf and a gnome.. to park at pet/vendor locations and to see the new starting zones, gnome and worgen in particular...

Okay, I cheat, I logged this a.m. before I hit the door OMW to work...

Scan AH. check prices on leather, ore and bars... no profits on either to be made... prospecting, making bars or making leather, however there are a lot of small stack of light leather at 12S and under, and the next price is 20S... buy it and flip it.. :-) also, bidding on the leather that has low bids and no buyout... Putting the little gold I have to work...

A quick look using my JC interface open and the AH open, shift click each of the craftables and only one is even listed in the AH, JC is now 46 and its time to go to the trainer for more... Hit up the Cooking daily and the Fishing daily, vendor trash and some more cocoa beans... set up ZA for the beans... (beans because I got only one cooking award and the meat crate takes 2), ZA is just so it become automatic to cancel post the beans... group set to 25S threshold, and 1G fallback, no override... Coper wire set up in its own group, 1G-5G no override... 10 stacks 1 ea...
Time to make some JC items... and test sales... 2 each on everything... setting up 2 ZA groups for now 1-3 gold, no override, and 2-5 gold no override for the JC items... also got to 60 JC and hit the trainer time to get some bronze and figure out whats lowest cost, ore, bars, tin, copper and bronze... Its about the same and I expect to get a couple points in leveling it atm so I will craft it... Log over to ctlaltdeltwo and craft some bronze, and buy some pets... :-)
OOOPS, meant to just click return on the owls I sent, but clicked open all and they started flowing into my bags... time to click the arrow on postal mail interface and "uncheck" "open all mail with attachments" under "non AH related mail" still mail the owls back to ctlaltdel... and go make some metal... :-) If it were not for the pets in The Exodar, I would definately not home base this toon here, and I cant smelt bronze anyway... to low level... buy some copper to level mining... 80 should do it, it just means the 20G I sent to buy moths will be fewer moths this time... "shwishhh-shwishhhh-shwisshhh" smelting is FUN!!! this is MMO online gaming at its best... :-/

and now I am begining to hate The Exodar.. no mailboxes.. and the one here are a long way from the pet vendor and the forge... Yeah... 80 copper was not enough at 63 mining, and I need 65 to train bronze... RNG hates me, I hate The Exodar... 20 more copper got me to 63.. run back to AH, 20 more... stop at mailbox, run back to forge... GAHHHH... woot 65... make 80 bronze... now I only have 2G on this toon.. only a couple pets to get... Oh well.. I got the profession skill ups and I expect to make money money in the process.... :-) but patience is key... notice I was only listing 2 each on the items... :-) Prices not too high...
Okay, got my bars of metal, off to the moth vendor... I mouse over each and see how many ctlaltdel has in auctions.. and buy appropriately... :-)
Lesson here: it takes about 150 copper ore more or less, smelting, to level mining to 65 and be able to move on to smelting bronze, BUT you do not have to MINE to level mining... YMMV (Your Milage May Vary)

RNG hates me, I hate The Exodar... 20 more copper got me to 63.. run back to AH, 20 more... stop at mailbox, run back to forge... GAHHHH... woot 65... make 80 bronze... now I only have 2G on this toon.. only a couple pets to get... Oh well.. I got the profession skill ups and I expect to make money money in the process.... :-) but patience is key... notice I was only listing 2 each on the items... :-) Prices not too high...
Okay, got my bars of metal, off to the moth vendor... I mouse over each and see how many ctlaltdel has in auctions.. and buy appropriately... :-)
Lesson here: it takes about 150 copper ore more or less, smelting, to level mining to 65 and be able to move on to smelting bronze, BUT you do not have to MINE to level mining... YMMV (Your Milage May Vary)
Mail off pets and bars of copper and bronze...
log over, collect mail... OOOPS, need to set the setting the same way on this toon for the mail to not open no AH mail w/ attachments... the goal was to store the owls in my mail.. Oh well easy fix...
Now, I open auctionator "more" tab and then the "check for undercuts" in the bottom left... for items not in ZA groups... :-)
ATM I have 65S on ctlaltdel and ctlaltdeltwo has 8S... yeah, I can say I am broke... OR... I have tied up all my gold in exploration cost, opportunity costs, or wasted it away... :-)
I did peak at my auctions... and know I sold some stuff.. I will have gold next time I log...
Its early evening and time to feed the kids... so a lot more could happen as more players log on through the evenening... :-) but for me, I am off till the next time...

DAY 3
First thing was to go through and update my last post with the actual addons I am running... and disable the rest of them
Next I have completed the Daily fishing and cooking quests. OOOPs, picked up couple bags of beans instead of crates of meat.. will try to sell them via the AH, and the fishing quest gave me a swiftness pot.. that should be a gold or more... at 13.5 gold
Also in Auctionator set default auction time to 48 hours... that was about 15 minutes or so with blogging...
At 4:50 played and 13.5 gold, now I start gold enterprising... cancel post the delicate wings from yesterdays daily cooking... and for 48 hours at that, posting at 10gold each now, creating 1-10 gold food sales group in ZA for all future sales.
Auctionator default tab set to "buy" in options and scanning AH for leather prices...
Light leather 18silver and Ruined Leather Scraps 2 silver... with the auctionator on the "buy" tab, I open the crafting window for LW, shift click each of the items in the crafting window and it searches and displays results in the auctionator AH interface... NICE!!! speed tip there...
Craft all and back to the AH to list 2 each the owls, and 30 light leather, I also had to add the second owl pet to ZA... for now I am not listing the leather in a group, not enough historical data to make a call... so its manually listed... But, Auctionator has an ALT + click function to post. My bag open, Alt + click the leather and the sell screen comes up.. 3 stacks of 10, and additionally I don't want to undercut the lowest price, so I click the window at the price I DO WANT to undercut which is 19.9 silver vs lowest price of 18.75...
Well now Have a profitable crafting activity, and in my price range... :-) buy, it colect it craft for profit I expect and hit up the pet vendor for a couple more sales I hope...
Now I am leveling LW at the same time too, so it has bonus points there...
I now have still 6.9 gold down from 13.5...
a quick AH scan... ... ... now on to some JC action
By itself making delicate copper wire would be profitable, however, it would be more so if I had a miner... lots of copper at 20silver and under and bars are going for 89silver each... time to make a miner... since i can not afford the cheapest stack of bars but I can afford pleanty of ore... :-) 2 stacks of it... :-) so, here is a lesson in oportunity cost... I need a miner to do this, but I made a LW/JC...
Today... 45 minutes roughly, blogging and playing, cigarettes, beer and phone calls... so far, now into another toon, dranai shamman, to get close to those pets... :-) and for the ghost wolf speed....
New toon... old lessons remembered..
-Bartender, make one profile, and use it over and over... on all your toons.. make a new toon, copy that profile.... My set up for key bindings is 4 bars on the left to match the 1,q,a,z rows of keys and bind them as such.. thats the first 7 keys then shift + keys for further over.. then 2 more bars 3x4 or 2x6 on the right.. space in the middle and on the sides is used for chat boxes, recount if running it, omen if running it and grid...
-An efficient UI overall is very useful...
-Tracking, mailboxes and other stuff.. as well as guards to show you where trainers are...

Memory completely betrayed me, and I had to hit up wowhead.com for directions to Sixx (moth keeper) in The Exodar
Note: The Exodar, IMO, its another terrible location to base AHing, things just seem to me to be too spread out...
One hour invested in that toon... total time as I mailed off the 4 pets, and 40 bars of copper

Not bad on day 3. The light leather sold.. so I made a bit of gold off of that already... run a cancelation, on ZA, nothing undercut atm... so...
I have 2 extra little bags on ctlaltdel the druid to send over to ctlaltdeltwo the shamman, instead of using them in the bank. So doing that and letting things rest till I log in next time...

I need to find the addon that adds to the tool tip prospecting results.... and i would have know that was a pretty big loss, it may be profitable later, but atm... its for a pretty big loss... Would have been much less expensive to just buy the gems at current market prices...

Day 2, INTRO, reflections and progress
Why do this. This blog is dedicated to the PROCESS and what I intend to be a repeatable process for any would be goblin. Those that are already goblins, may find tips and perspective, OR share tips and perspective.
However, sometimes you just have to start over to prevent:
INSANITY: Doing the same thing and expecting a different result...
CTL+ALT Delete is easily referenced by myself and I hope relates to others as a "HARD RESET"
If you don't then compare it to taking a BIG hammer to your old computer and getting a new upgraded model..
Something new and shiny....
Reflections: I missed something yesterday. I take for granted much of what I do on my present server, and what I have access to. However, historical data for my add-on suite is not something I have for my new server. AND I forgot to scan yesterday.
The good and the bad... Darnasses is a great city... I love the "ambiance" but the travel times for my lowbie toon will add up... on the bright side, it will be low pop and lag free (great for my aging system)... and there are pets very close to me and very far away from SW IF....
Day 2, begining... I will be taking more than 10 minutes at a time, to blog concurrently with my leveling and efforts initially... However I intend to change that.... Later, My intent is to Play 10-15 minutes, then blog after.
Log on, scan AH... its about a quarter after atm... and I have 6.1 Silver...
PRO TIP: KNOW YOUR ADDONs. Auctionator is very quick about scans.. however the data can be misleading... It does not record anything but the low price, and its displays show that singular number too... I does not average prices or anything... so an item that goes for 5 gold normally, but has an unloader posting at 50Silver... well, you LSW and such will reflect that 50Silver value... Caution advised if you opt for auctionator over auctioneer...
As I fly back to the quest hub I left off at (Dolanaar) I reflect that I may be good to make this toon and any other LOW level toons that will play druid, shaman, hunter.. for the level 16 speed boost... travel form, ghost wolf and Aspect of thedaze chettah.
5.2 silver as i trained level 1 first aid... not sure that I expect to do anything with it.. but you never know...
Its interesting how much the NE starter quests have change... FP in Dolanaar, and its a free flight to and from Darassus... :-) GOOD, not sure I could afford it if it were not..
Level 6 and I got a second 6 slot bag off a mob drop... nice... Its almost silly to get excited over 6 slot bags.. but, heh, if this was not going to be fun for me too.. I would probably not doing it...
As I leave bodies, and pass herbs and ore.. part of me regrets not having taken up a gathering profession... There is GREAT starter capitol by doing so... But this is a different process... :-)
Hindsight is always 20/20, but a druidS instant cast HOTs... great for low level.. Since I don't have hierlooms or anything, but white gear... I am a little squishy... just a side note, it saved my toons life again...

First stop fishing quest with 3 hours 33 minutes played 60 silver...
3:36 moving to cooking
3:43 done, crate of meat gave up 3 delicate wings that are going for about 16Gold each... :-) nice start... see whats in the mail next time.. also got 4 dragon flanks that I might get a gold each for... with the bag of shiny things... i also get another couple silver in vendor trash, currently have 78 silver...
Now into ZA to set up my first group... the low greenies and other stuff group.. it is a 2-5gold group.. Threshold at 2 gold, and fall back at 5 gold... another 2 stacks of cloth are unloaded for about a gold each... just the bits i had from questing
quick look up on the pets.... they are both going for about 7-8 gold.. and I can buy one. so no matter atm..

First real Post
I am blogging this first one in real time, so as to document a couple things I am likely to forget...
(edit: THIS POST is a first if you dont have addons, or dont know which ones to use)
New Server: Nesingwary because it is "new Players flagged and a Normal server. Nerver did like PVP server idea... All other "low" population servers were PVP
Race: Night elf. Already have 6 of them or something so familiar with the starting quests and stuff.
Alliance, because At some point I have plans to make a couple more toons and it will give me a chance to play the new gnome and worgen areas... or an excuse
Name: Ctlaltdel.. it fits...
Druid: no idea really... I like them but have yet to get one to max level.... :-/
Off to level...
Just over 20 minutes... and Ctlaltdel is level 5 and level 1 in JC and LW... with 7.2SILVER
Off to Darnassus...
Now I have some small regret of deciding NE for the first toon. Darnassus has a pretty bad layout for getting around... its a pretty decent trek comparatively from the AH to the bank... will see how it goes...
Down to 6.1 silver with level 1 fishing and cooking... Now, a quick look on wowhead says I need to be level 10 to start doing the daily quests for fishing and cooking so... that will be next time level to level 10
About 45 minutes invested at this point in the toon and I am moving slowish... as I pause to blog.

CTL+ALT Delete Gold Making
Like many things there is a begining... This is it.... the begining of another project. For me, my fun and amusment and what I may learn from it. But as a student to my own process, you may find value and benefit in being a student of the student, or passing it on to a student that just needs to
CTL+ALT Delete the process you are stuck in with making gold... have you been in a rut? are you in one now.. are you making enough gold?
Some times you need to wipe your hard drive and start over... Not, change the way you do thing, not continue what you are doing and adjust... I mean a HARD RESET... new process, new toons new server (maybe) a separate enterprise. repeat the process in part, or in whole to learn yourself, or just read and see what you can learn yourself...
I set no rules for myself really other than these:
